The Nevada (MO) Griffons (1-1) beat the San Antonio (TX) Titans (0-2) 7-2 on Saturday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium behind Brandon Huske, who went 2-3.

He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Trent Keefer picked up the win for the Nevada (MO) Griffons. Keefer pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out three.

Josh Garza was solid at the plate for the San Antonio (TX) Titans. Garza went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Matt Harrell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
