The Lorain County Ironmen (19-30) and the Chillicothe Paints (26-23) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Lorain County Ironmen that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-1 win at The Pipe Yard.

The Chillicothe Paints couldn't get anything going as long as Zach Beaver was pitching. Beaver held the Chillicothe Paints hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Vince Frate improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lorain County Ironmen. He allowed one run over five innings. Frate struck out two, walked three and gave up five hits.

Reed Mason (1-3) took the loss for the Chillicothe Paints. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
