An exceptional effort by Ryan Demmin spurred the Normal CornBelters (21-17) to a 3-0 win over the Rockford Aviators on Saturday at Aviator Stadium.

The Normal CornBelters got the win thanks in large part to Demmin's dominant, 11-strikeout performance. The Normal CornBelters' pitcher gave up just one hit over nine shutout innings.

Luis De La Cruz racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Normal CornBelters. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Derrick Stultz couldn't get it done on the hill for the Rockford Aviators (9-28), taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
