The D.C. Grays (17-17) beat the Alexandria Aces (18-12) 4-3 on Tuesday behind Judson Sherrill, who went 2-4.

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

The Alexandria Aces couldn't get anything going as long as Jayson Yano was on the mound. The Alexandria Aces managed just one hit off of Yano, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Brandon Burris got on base three times in the game for the Alexandria Aces. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Tyler Brown ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
