Pitsch brought home the go-ahead run to give the Neptune Beach Pearl the lead in the seventh inning, as the Neptune Beach Pearl hung on to beat the Tri-Valley Bercovich (3-2) 8-6 on Friday.

The Neptune Beach Pearl would not relinquish the lead as the Tri-Valley Bercovich were unable to weather a four-run eighth inning deficit.

The Tri-Valley Bercovich scored two runs in the ninth on two singles. Despite their efforts, the Tri-Valley Bercovich couldn't finish the comeback.

Babbitt did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Neptune Beach Pearl, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third innings and homered in the fifth innings.

Valdez recorded his first win of the year for the Neptune Beach Pearl. Valdez struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Tom Amato (0-1) took the loss for the Tri-Valley Bercovich. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
