It took 11 innings, but the Medicine Hat Mavericks (7-1) managed to put away the Weyburn Beavers (3-3) 9-4 on Sunday at Tom Laing Park.

With the score tied at four in the eleventh inning, Greg Adams came to the plate and singled, scoring Ched Gaskin.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eleventh, with seven lead changes.

Michael Olson racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings and doubled in the eleventh inning.

Les Northcutt put together a nice outing. Northcutt gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Alex Mann improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Mann struck out three, walked none and gave up no hits.

Kris Keating ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
