Morgan McCasland drove in the go-ahead run to give the Slippery Rock Sliders (4-6) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Slippery Rock Sliders hung on to beat the Lorain County Ironmen (5-5) 4-1 on Saturday.

Tom Crimi reached on an error to get on base in the seventh. He then went from first to third on a single by Daniel Garza.

Dan Hurlimann racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He singled in the first inning.

The Lorain County Ironmen couldn't get anything going so long as Kevin Becker-Menditto was on the hill. The Lorain County Ironmen managed just one hit off of Becker-Menditto, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

The Lorain County Ironmen were led by Tyler Bires's hitting. Bires went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Zach Beaver ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
