An outstanding effort by Justin Klipp led the Edinburg Roadrunners (1-4) to a 4-1 win over the San Angelo Colts (3-2) on Tuesday at Foster Field.
Klipp's 14 strikeouts were enough to push the Edinburg Roadrunners past the San Angelo Colts. Klipp allowed one earned run on eight hits and one walk over nine innings.
Chris Christopolous helped the Edinburg Roadrunners take the lead for good in the sixth inning. Carlton Salters to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Tyler Diaz.
Christopolous racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.
Daiki Komori racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Corey Frerichs couldn't get it done on the bump for the San Angelo Colts, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
