The Yorkton Cardinals (13-30) and the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (16-25) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Yorkton Cardinals that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-2 win at Jubilee Park.
Jeff Pool picked up the win for the Yorkton Cardinals. Pool pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, nine hits and one walk while striking out six.
Jared Locke was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked five, struck out 10, and allowed three runs.
