The Medicine Hat Mavericks (32-6) and the Swift Current Indians (26-14) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Medicine Hat Mavericks capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 2-1 win at Mitchell Field.

Kyle Mckay handled the Swift Current Indians' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Mckay allowed one earned run on five hits and five walks over six innings.

Sean Callegari was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Medicine Hat Mavericks batters and allowing one run.

Les Northcutt got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Cody Chartrand was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
