Both the Weyburn Beavers (13-20) and the Melville Millionaires (17-14) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Weyburn Beavers that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 4-2 win at Pirie Field.

Dusty Kerns reached base three times in the game for the Weyburn Beavers. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the third inning.

Kyle Larson got the win, running his season record to 1-3. He allowed two runs over six innings. Larson struck out one, walked two and gave up six hits.

Jaime Paxton was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked six, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
