The Edmonton Prospects (6-25) didn't stand a chance on Wednesday, as the Weyburn Beavers (11-20) captured a blowout 12-4 win at Tom Laing Park.
The Weyburn Beavers scored five runs in the sixth on a groundout by Dusty Kerns, a double by Spencer Mallonee, a double by Michael Lukkason, , a double by Chris Manning, and a wild pitch.
Manning racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Weyburn Beavers.
The Edmonton Prospects' Bryn Redhead was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.
Ben Moore improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered eight hits.
Zachary Hanks (2-1) took the loss for the Edmonton Prospects. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
