A superb effort by Josh Taylor hoisted the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (12-15) to a 9-0 win over the Weyburn Beavers (9-20) on Monday at Cairns Field, Saskatoon, SK.

Taylor held the Weyburn Beavers scoreless for eight innings. Taylor allowed two hits, one walk and struck out eight.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets in the third. The Weyburn Beavers had no answer as the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets scored five runs.

Justin Cook racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Michael Crain ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
