The Swift Current Indians (18-9) and the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets (12-15) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Swift Current Indians that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-7 win at Cairns Field, Saskatoon, SK.

Matt Henriksen led the Swift Current Indians' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Jake Moore racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets. He singled in the first inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Garrett Taggart improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Swift Current Indians. He allowed two runs over three innings. Taggart struck out four, walked one and gave up five hits.

Steven Latos was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
