A magnificent effort by Allan Sanchez lifted the Regina Red Sox (13-14) to a 3-0 win over the Weyburn Beavers (9-19) on Saturday at Tom Laing Park.
Sanchez kept the Weyburn Beavers off the board during his eight innings of work. Sanchez allowed three hits, three walks and struck out five.
Eric Baker had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning and tripled in the eighth inning.
Kyle Larson was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
