An ace performance by David Toth spurred the Yorkton Cardinals (6-10) to a 5-0 win over the Regina Red Sox (8-6) on Tuesday at Jubilee Park.

The Yorkton Cardinals' Toth kept the Regina Red Sox off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on eight hits while striking out eight.

Kevin McLeod put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Ryne Drummonds (3-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked three, struck out nine, and allowed five runs.

The Yorkton Cardinals were sparked by McLeod and Nick Gallipeau, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.
