The Yorkton Cardinals (4-9) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-2 to the Lethbridge Bulls (6-6) on Sunday.
While the Yorkton Cardinals led until the seventh inning, the Lethbridge Bulls worked their way back and took the lead on an error.
Travis Steinke reached base four times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
The Yorkton Cardinals had no answer for Chris Stodolka, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Yorkton Cardinals managed just one hit off of Stodolka, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
It was a good day at the plate for the Yorkton Cardinals' Justin Burgess. Burgess went 4-5 and scored two runs. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third, fifth, and ninth innings.
