Allan Sanchez hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Sanchez pitched eight shutout innings to carry the Regina Red Sox (3-2) to a 1-0 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals at Jubilee Park.

Bronson Gillam helped the Regina Red Sox pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning. With the game scoreless in the sixth inning Gillam came to the plate and singled, bringing home Austin Drummonds.

Steve Barnett (0-1) took the loss for the Yorkton Cardinals (1-2). He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed one run.
