The Edinburg Roadrunners (3-8) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Fort Worth Cats (8-3) on Monday, as the Edinburg Roadrunners fell 6-4 at Edinburg Stadium after falling behind by five runs in the ninth inning.

The Edinburg Roadrunners scored three runs in the ninth on an RBI double by Eric Gonzalez, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Austin Fraker. Despite their efforts, the Edinburg Roadrunners couldn't get over the hump.

Kori Melo led the Fort Worth Cats' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and fourth innings.

James Giulietti picked up the win for the Fort Worth Cats. Giulietti allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Chris Christopolous paced the Edinburg Roadrunners at the plate. Christopolous went 2-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Drew Coffey (1-2) took the loss for the Edinburg Roadrunners. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
