Bobby O,Neil hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as O,Neil allowed two hits to carry the RGV Whitewings (1-3) to a 2-1 victory over the San Angelo Colts (3-1) at Harlingen Field.
The San Angelo Colts were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The San Angelo Colts led until the eighth inning, but the RGV Whitewings took the lead back on an RBI single by Thomas Sholl.
Albert Carpin reached base four times. He singled in the first and eighth innings.
Jeremy Tietze was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.
