Ernesto Zaragaza hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Zaragaza tossed a shutout to carry the White Sands Pupfish (26-41) to a 2-0 victory over the Taos Blizzard (24-41) at Taos Tundra.

Zaragaza brought the heat against the Taos Blizzard during his outing. The Taos Blizzard managed just one hit off of Zaragaza, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his nine innings of work.

Cody Collins put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the White Sands Pupfish. He doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the seventh inning.

Russ Burroughs (0-4) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
