The Trinidad Triggers top the Las Vegas Train Robbers behind Florio's 2 hits, 17-1

An excellent effort by Frank Florio carried the Trinidad Triggers (33-26) to a 17-1 win over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (34-24) on Monday at Central Park.

Florio rocked the Las Vegas Train Robbers with two home runs. Florio went 2-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Florio homered in the second and seventh innings.

The Trinidad Triggers didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Trinidad Triggers scored four runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. The Trinidad Triggers scored seven runs in the second on a passed ball, an RBI single by Matt Hunt, a home run by Jacob Fabry, a solo home run by Florio, and a passed ball.

Even in defeat, Andrew Lopez played well for the Las Vegas Train Robbers.

Lopez reached base three times in the game for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the second and seventh innings.

Lopez had an impressive outing against the Trinidad Triggers' lineup. The Trinidad Triggers managed just one hit off of Lopez, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his one inning of work.

The Trinidad Triggers relied on Nick Mutz to eat up innings en route to the win. Mutz allowed no earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out six over eight innings of work.

The Trinidad Triggers hammered the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 16 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

Shayne Miller was charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out three.
