The Santa Fe Fuego take out the Trinidad Triggers with help from Maxwell, 7-4

Jimmy Maxwell knocked in four runs, sparking the Santa Fe Fuego (20-22) to a 7-4 victory over the Trinidad Triggers (25-17) on Thursday at Central Park.

He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

Charlie McCready looked sharp on the mound. The Trinidad Triggers managed just one hit off of the the Santa Fe Fuego's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Jason Veyna did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Trinidad Triggers, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning.

Benji Waite ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
