A walk-off sacrifice fly from John Rodriguez brought home the winning run for the Wichita Wingnuts (8-5) in a 7-6 victory over the Amarillo Sox (4-9) at Lawrence Dumont Stadium on Wednesday.
Rodriguez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.
Jared McDonald racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth, seventh, and ninth innings.
The Amarillo Sox couldn't get anything going so long as Ryan Hinson was on the hill. Hinson gave up just two hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.
David Peralta had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth and seventh innings.
