A groundout by John Rodriguez, an RBI single by CJ Ziegler, a two-run double by Stephen Yoo, an RBI single by David Amberson, an RBI single by Amberson, and an RBI double by Jared McDonald during the first inning and a two-run single by Abel Nieves in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Wichita Wingnuts.Ziegler racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wichita Wingnuts.
Jon Link picked up the win for the Wichita Wingnuts. Link pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out three.
Jason Johnson (1-1) took the loss for the Amarillo Sox. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked four and struck out one.
