The Kansas City T-Bones outlast the Gary SouthShore RailCats in high-scoring affair, 13-10

The bats were busy at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Sunday, and when the dust cleared the Kansas City T-Bones (3-7) had a 13-10 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats (6-4).

The two teams combined for 20 hits in the game.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with six lead changes.

The Kansas City T-Bones finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. A steal of home by Matt Padgett gave the Kansas City T-Bones the lead for good.

Padgett racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Kansas City T-Bones. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Sean Toler got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Toler struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Clay Zavada (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
