Cole Armstrong drove in the go-ahead run to give the Wichita Wingnuts (3-1) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Wichita Wingnuts hung on to beat the Kansas City T-Bones (1-3) 3-2 on Sunday.

With the score tied at one in the sixth inning, Armstrong came to the plate and homered, bringing home CJ Ziegler.

Armstrong had two extra-base hits for the Wichita Wingnuts. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

The Wichita Wingnuts held off the Kansas City T-Bones, as the Kansas City T-Bones were unable to overcome a two-run sixth inning deficit.

The Kansas City T-Bones scored one run in the sixth on an RBI double by Ray Sadler. Despite their efforts, the Kansas City T-Bones couldn't finish the comeback.

The Wichita Wingnuts got the win thanks in large part to Junior Guerra's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Guerra allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks over six innings.

Brian Murphy couldn't get it done on the hill for the Kansas City T-Bones, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.

The Wichita Wingnuts were sparked by Derek Perren and Armstrong, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
