Hinson handled the New Jersey Jackals' lineup with ease, racking up 13 strikeouts. Hinson allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over eight innings.
Jose Cuevas had two extra-base hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He doubled in the second and eighth innings.
Craig Heyer recorded his first win of the year for the New Jersey Jackals. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered five hits.
Hinson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.
