Jeremy Barnes had two extra base hits, helping the New Jersey Jackals (3-4) to a 9-6 victory over the Sioux City Explorers on Tuesday at Lewis _ Clark Park.

Isaac Pavlik picked up the win for the New Jersey Jackals. Pavlik pitched seven innings and allowed three earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Eliezer Mesa put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Sioux City Explorers. He tripled in the sixth inning, doubled in the eighth inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

The New Jersey Jackals couldn't get anything going as long as Jimmer Kennedy was pitching. The New Jersey Jackals managed just two hits off of Kennedy, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Gaetano Giunta, Yasanberty Arbelo, Chris Curran and Barnes helped lead the New Jersey Jackals. They combined for 10 hits and four RBIs.

Josh Rainwater couldn't get it done on the hill for the Sioux City Explorers, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out three.
