The New Jersey Jackals outlast the St Paul Saints in extras, 6-4

The New Jersey Jackals (1-2) took home a marathon 6-4 victory over the St Paul Saints on Thursday at Midway Stadium.

With the score tied at four, Chris Duffy came to the plate and doubled, plating Chris Curran.

Duffy helped the New Jersey Jackals take the lead for good in the tenth inning. Curran to get on base in the tenth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Jeremy Barnes.

It was a good day at the plate for the New Jersey Jackals' Duffy. Duffy went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the tenth inning.

Nick Giarraputo racked up three RBIs on three hits for the New Jersey Jackals. He homered in the eighth inning and singled in the fourth and tenth innings.

Isaac Pavlik allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Keith Cantwell improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the New Jersey Jackals. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Matt Meyer couldn't get it done on the hill for the St Paul Saints, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
