The Chicago Bandits (34-11) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the USSSA Pride (33-12) on Wednesday.

Caitlin Lowe racked up two RBIs on three hits for the USSSA Pride. She singled in the first and third innings.

Cat Osterman got the win for the USSSA Pride thanks to 12 strikeouts. Osterman allowed two earned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings.

A bright spot for the Chicago Bandits in the defeat was Monica Abbott, who allowed only three runs while striking out seven.

Abbott ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with her fourth loss of the year.
