GiOnna DiSalvatore was cold coming off the bench, but DiSalvatore warmed up quickly as DiSalvatore stroked a key pinch-hit single in the three to lead the USSSA Pride (31-12) to an 11-0 win over the NY NJ Comets (8-35) on Saturday at Osceola Co Stadium.
With the USSSA Pride leading by two in the third inning, DiSalvatore came to the plate and singled.
The biggest inning for the USSSA Pride was the third. The USSSA Pride's bats caught fire leading to six runs.
Kristyn Sandberg racked up six RBIs on three hits for the USSSA Pride. She homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Jordan Taylor put together a nice outing. The NY NJ Comets managed just three hits off of Taylor, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during her five innings of work.
Lindsey Richardson was charged with her third loss of the year. She allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
