Sam Marder drove in four runs, helping the Akron Racers (11-19) to a 7-6 victory over the USSSA Pride (21-9) on Thursday at Osceola Co Stadium.

Jordan Taylor was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Akron Racers batters and allowing zero runs.

Caitlin Lowe got a hit in each of her three at bats. She doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Erin Arevalo got the win, running her season record to 1-2. She allowed four runs over 3 2/3 innings. Arevalo struck out two, walked four and gave up five hits.

Keilani Ricketts (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. She allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out seven.
