Wednesday was a great day for Sarah Pauly, as Pauly threw a shutout to carry the USSSA Pride (21-8) to an 11-0 victory over the Akron Racers (10-19) at Osceola Co Stadium.

The USSSA Pride's Pauly kept the Akron Racers off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the hill. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out four.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the USSSA Pride to easily put away the Akron Racers. A solo home run by GiOnna DiSalvatore and a two-run home run by Kelsey Bruder in the second inning helped the USSSA Pride put some runs on the board early.

Bruder racked up four RBIs on two hits for the USSSA Pride.

Rachele Fico ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with her fourth loss of the year. She allowed seven runs in three innings, walked none and struck out one.
