While the NY NJ Comets (2-6) hung tough on Sunday, the Chicago Bandits (6-2) pulled away late for the 11-3 victory at Yogi Berra Stadium.

Megan Wiggins boosted her batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Chicago Bandits. She singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Amanda Kamekona was hot from the plate for the NY NJ Comets. Kamekona went 2-4 and scored two runs. She singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Nikki Nemitz got the win, running her season record to 1-1. She allowed three runs over seven innings. Nemitz struck out five, walked one and gave up nine hits.

Taryne Mowatt (0-2) took the loss for the NY NJ Comets. She lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
