Jacob Cuch was cold coming off the bench, but Cuch warmed up quickly as Cuch stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the AA Giants (7-2) to a 13-3 win over the AA Dodgers (3-5) on Sunday at Optimist #4.

With the AA Giants leading by one in the first inning, Cuch came to the plate and singled.

Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the AA Giants to easily put away the AA Dodgers. An RBI double by Evan Matthews, a sacrifice fly by Justin Johnston, a wild pitch, and an RBI double by Nicholas Pelletier during the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Cuch, a single by Johnston, a double by Connor Veillet, and an RBI single by Derek Owen in the second inning fueled the AA Giants' offense early.

Veillet racked up three RBIs on three hits for the AA Giants.

Jacob Lyzaniwski improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the AA Giants. He allowed three runs over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked six and surrendered two hits.

Jordan Krupa was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked one and struck out three.

The AA Giants easily handled the AA Dodgers pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, six RBIs and 11 runs scored.
