The AA Dodgers (1-0) jumped out to an early lead on the AA Rockies (0-1) and captured a 10-0 victory on Saturday at Optimist #4.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the AA Dodgers to put the game away early.

A sacrifice fly by Daniel Hanson, a wild pitch, an RBI double by Joseph Paul, and a groundout by Adam Gorchynski during the first inning and a wild pitch and an RBI single by Jordan Krupa in the second inning helped the AA Dodgers put some runs on the board early.

Aaron Marchant did his best to jumpstart the offense for the AA Dodgers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He singled in the second inning.

The AA Dodgers' Hanson kept the AA Rockies off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out three.

Ryan Checknita ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked six and struck out none.
