Brad Karas was cold coming off the bench, but Karas warmed up quickly as Karas stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the AAA Dodgers (3-5) to a 10-8 win over the AAA Giants (2-7) on Sunday at Optimist #4.

With the game scoreless in the first inning Karas came to the plate and singled.

The two teams combined for 18 runs and 14 hits, including zero extra base hits.

The AAA Dodgers got their bats going early, scoring five runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the AAA Giants.

The AAA Dodgers would not relinquish the lead as the AAA Giants were unable to weather a eight-run third inning deficit.

The AAA Giants scored on , , , , and in the fourth inning and an RBI single by Jacob Cuch and an RBI single by Justin Johnston in the seventh inning. Despite their efforts, the AAA Giants couldn't finish the comeback.

Kevin Boras recorded his first win for the AAA Dodgers even though he allowed six runs over four innings. Boras struck out four, walked eight and gave up three hits.

Brandon Desjardins couldn't get it done on the mound for the AAA Giants, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked five and struck out two.

The AAA Dodgers' Tyler Doyle, Kylar Marriott, Sid Gillies and Ross McKinnon combined for seven hits and eight RBIs.
