Cam Knott did his part on the rubber, but it wasn't enough to carry the Lorain County Ironmen (22-37) to a win on Sunday, as the Lorain County Ironmen fell to the Chillicothe Paints (34-26) 1-0 at The Pipe Yard in 10 innings.
The Chillicothe Paints had no answer for Knott, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Chillicothe Paints managed just one hit off of Knott, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out 10 during his six innings of work.
Greg Greve brought the heat against the Lorain County Ironmen during his outing. Greve held the Lorain County Ironmen hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.
Zach Beaver (1-3) took the loss for the Lorain County Ironmen. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
