The Hannibal Cavemen (28-27) and the Quincy Gems (34-24) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Hannibal Cavemen that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-4 win at Quincy Stadium.

Jerod Smith led the Hannibal Cavemen's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

Thomas Richards did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Quincy Gems, reaching base four times. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He homered in the first inning.
