The Butler Blue Sox (32-24) failed to take advantage of great day from Adam Aldred on Wednesday, losing 1-0 to the Chillicothe Paints (31-25) at VA Memorial Stadium.

Aldred handled the Chillicothe Paints' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. The Butler Blue Sox's pitcher gave up just four hits over seven shutout innings.

A walk-off single by Justin Wagler gave the Chillicothe Paints the win.

Wagler paced the Chillicothe Paints at the plate. Wagler went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the ninth inning.

Andrew Marra recorded his first win of the year for the Chillicothe Paints. Marra struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Tyler Swarmer was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
