A seven-run explosion in the seventh inning hoisted the Danville Dans (38-16) to a 12-1 win in seven innings over the Hannibal Cavemen at Clemens Field on Monday.
The Danville Dans were led by Andrew Buddle's hitting. Buddle went 3-4 and scored three runs. He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Blake Stevens struck out six, paving the way for a the Danville Dans win. Stevens allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over four innings.
Denys Delgado couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Hannibal Cavemen (23-27), taking a loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
