Giancarlo Brugnoni went 1-3 and hit a home run as the Chillicothe Paints (29-24) took home a 2-0 victory over the Richmond RiverRats (21-32) at VA Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

He homered in the second inning.

The Richmond RiverRats had no answer for Greg Greve, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Greve held the Richmond RiverRats hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.

Patrick Van Daalwyk (3-5) took the loss for the Richmond RiverRats. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
