The Danville Dans (34-14) and the Quincy Gems (31-17) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Danville Dans capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at Danville Stadium.

The Quincy Gems couldn't get anything going as long as Miles Nordgren was pitching. Nordgren held the Quincy Gems hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Blake Stevens got the win, running his season record to 4-0. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Austin Klein (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
