Steve Laudicina hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Laudicina tossed a shutout to carry the Chillicothe Paints (21-14) to a 2-0 victory over the West Virginia Miners (22-13) at VA Memorial Stadium.
The Chillicothe Paints' Laudicina kept the West Virginia Miners off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up four.
Despite the loss, the West Virginia Miners' Evin Einhardt dominated the Chillicothe Paints' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
Einhardt was charged with his first loss of the year.
