An excellent effort by Josh Martsching led the Quincy Gems (19-9) to a 3-2 win in 10 innings over the Danville Dans (17-11) on Sunday at Quincy Stadium.
Martsching allowed one earned run, three hits and no walks while striking out five over 8 1/3 innings of work.
A walk-off single by Mike Wilson gave the Quincy Gems the win.
Wilson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Quincy Gems. He singled in the tenth inning.
Logan Blair got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Miles Nordgren couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Danville Dans, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed one run.
