The Chillicothe Paints outdone by Hurlimann and the Slippery Rock Sliders, 4-3

Dan Hurlimann went 2-4, sparking the Slippery Rock Sliders (11-14) to a 4-3 victory in eight innings over the Chillicothe Paints (15-10) on Wednesday at Jack Critchfield Park.

He singled in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning.

The Chillicothe Paints had no answer for David Wilson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Wilson gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out four during his six innings of work.

A bright spot for the Chillicothe Paints in the defeat was Jack Peck, who allowed only three runs while striking out eight.

Daniel Zuchowski had a hot bat for the Chillicothe Paints. Zuchowski went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Kevin Becker-Menditto recorded his third win of the year for the Slippery Rock Sliders. He allowed two runs over two innings. Becker-Menditto struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

Jack Quigley was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
