The Hannibal Cavemen (6-7) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Terre Haute Rex (9-4), and the Hannibal Cavemen lost 5-4 to the Terre Haute Rex after falling behind by four runs in the fifth inning.

The Hannibal Cavemen scored on a groundout by Damon Waller and an RBI single by Jerod Smith in the eighth inning and a wild pitch in the ninth inning. Unfortunately, the Hannibal Cavemen weren't able to take the lead back.

Rick Sanchez racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Kyle Zimmerman picked up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. Zimmerman allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.

Zach Nichols was hot from the plate for the Hannibal Cavemen. Nichols went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Josh Tols (0-1) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
