The Danville Dans (10-8) beat the Springfield Sliders (4-16) 5-4 but needed 10 innings to do so on Tuesday at Danville Stadium.

With the Danville Dans trailing by one in the eighth inning, reached on an error, scoring Chad Klein.

Kyle Kapka racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Danville Dans. He singled in the fourth and tenth innings.

Jared Burton looked sharp on the mound. The Springfield Sliders managed just two hits off of the the Danville Dans' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Ryan Guedry reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Jon Rashid recorded his first win of the year for the Danville Dans. Rashid struck out none, walked none and gave up three hits.

TR Dunne (0-3) took the loss for the Springfield Sliders. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
