Travis McDonald hopes every outing could go as well as Monday, as McDonald threw a shutout to carry the Hannibal Cavemen (6-5) to a 2-0 victory over the Danville Dans (4-5) at Clemens Field.

The Hannibal Cavemen's McDonald kept the Danville Dans off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up nine.

Spencer Herrmann was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
